Super excited to announce that I'll be attending IRE NYC Meetup: Tues. April 21, Midtown Manhattan. Let's connect if you're there! - https://t.co/oEqajPyG6x
Oh nothing to see here….just a sitting President disgustingly making the erasure of our country’s history of slavery a priority issue of his administration…and losing.
James Baldwin: "What white people have to do is try to find out in their own hearts why it was necessary to have a 'nigger' in the first place, because I'm not a nigger, I'm a man. But if you think I'm a nigger, it means you need him...and you've got to find out why"
It amuses me that MAGA think their attack line on AOC going forward can be 'she's just a bartender' or she's 'dumb' when I can't think of a single MAGA congressman who could speak like this, for two minutes, on this topic, at an international forum like Munich. Not one.
The #NYCHA resident handbook identifies the Property Manager as the point of contact for lots of different issues, including such disparate duties as troubleshooting evictions with tenants and managing garbage disposal. I wonder if they're as accessible as the handbook implies.
New in @THECITYNY: As striking nurses miss their first paychecks, some are applying for unemployment and COBRA — and turning to GoFundMe — to make ends meet: “One thing I will never, ever do is cross the picket line.”

What ICE is doing today isn’t new. It’s from the same historical playbook used by every racist, authoritarian regime: create an enemy, criminalize whole communities, manufacture fear, and use public fear to justify repression.
It cannot and WILL not stand.
That little boy in the blue bunny hat. My heart breaks for him and all children and families terrorized by ICE and the Trump regime.
Our only way out is through solidarity. It is beautiful and hopeful to see so many labor unions step up in this moment. And it is how we win.
From Brooklyn Navy Yard to Hudson River Park Trust, all contracts that allow ICE to operate or do business on city-owned land must be terminated. Our city cannot and will not be complicit in the Trump administration’s kidnapping of our neighbors.
Nurses are on strike while the CEOs of their hospitals rake in millions.
It was an honor to visit the picket line with @SenSanders and demand a fair contract for NYSNA nurses so they can get back to work.
