The amount of symbolism and real life stories and women in the film "We Want Roses Too" is incredible. The director not only put the audience in the world of 1960s & 70s of Italy but also made in relatable to women no matter the time period #DsonIAY19

The performance of the two main characters in Like Crazy was amazing. These women can act very strong or weak in the film when dealing with personal struggles and the society around them. I also liked seeing mean characters to show how "bad" these women truly aren't #DsonIAY19

In Deep Red, none of the women are generic female tropes. Even the killer is the opposite of fragile. She's a crazed murderer that kills people viciously and is nearly one step ahead. She also represents the radical sides during the years of lead that Italy dealt with #DsonIAY19

In the film, "Two Women," Cesira and Rosetta go inside an abandoned church with a hole in the roof and a crater on the floor. The destroyed deteriorated church correlates to the destruction of Rosetta's virginity, especially that both women later get raped in that area #DsonIAY19

While the film Seduced and Abandoned focuses on the twisted morals of maintaining a woman's "purity", it was nice to see the different types of men and how they react, i.e. the officer and Baron. Both show that not everyone follows the honor code, but the majority does #DsonIAY19

The film Yesterday, Today, andTomorrow shows different ways a woman is seen in the world: a mother, a spoiled trophy wife, and a prostitute. All revolve around stereotypical views society has on women (only useful due to her body) and how those women drive men crazy #DsonIAY19

@Mia2019_ I feel like the film is going after the behaviors of Silvana and how they weren't true strength, but I don't appreciate how they seemed to blame her for being in any way seductive or interested in men #DsonIAY19

@laniho #DsonIAY19 The colors seems to represent the personalities of the two girls. White is used for symbolizing purity, while black can be used for mystery and evil. White is also used to symbolize death. Francesca did also appear drained and lifeless in the beginning of the film🤔

Loved the women in Riso Amaro, aka Bitter Rice, and their unique personalities. I hope they were based off of actual women who worked on the rice farms. Didn't like Silvana tho. Basically a cliché of girls lost without love and attention from men #DsonIAY19
