61 year old married University of Florida grad who lives on the east coast of Florida...grandparent to 4 grandchildren and was able to retire early in Oct-2018!
My mom Kathie Rogero passed away and wanted to help her great-granddaughter Emma with her college expenses. Every donation counts, and sharing this message can make a difference. Let’s honor Kathie’s memory together.

Part 17 - I hope that Senior Leadership reviews this incident and readjusts their standard operating procedures to address to preclude a future incident that could be prevented.

VV needs to look at their disembarkation process as we had a medical issue this morning on the Scarlet Lady as result of the current process. A lady right in front of me passed out after the area on Deck 4 near the elevators as people (Pt. 1)
Part 16-I spoke with the assistant Shore Things manager and explained what happened and the feedback for improvement opportunities. He got us an alternate excursion but was still disappointed that we didn’t get our original excursion and VV didn’t communicate with the contractor
Part 15 - we are first timers on VV and am enjoying the cruise but felt we needed to make Senior leadership aware of this issue from a customer who was in the middle of the issue. We were told that our excursion would be held but unfortunately that was not the case.
Part 14 - Another area of improvement is the communication when an issue (suspended de-boarding) happens to communicate what is happening … if you want your customers to rely on the app, the information needs to be current
Part 13 - after the medical issue happened there was a good response of VV crew in a reactive manner but I feel that this situation could have been avoided if there had been a more proactive response and leadership presence.
Part 11 - to enter Deck 4. My wife and I are first timers on VV but very experienced cruisers (Sapphire on NCL). In past cruises, we remember that the elevators would not go to deck that people exited a deck above and come down the stairs.
Part 10 - In my opinion, the root cause of this medical issue brought on by heat from over-crowding that area was not controlling access into that area. Instead of turning off elevator access to Deck 4 at the point that de boarding was suspended, people were allowed to exit
Part 9 - They did clear the area so that the lady could be removed and they finally took the other person to the crew area to get some colder air. Finally at some point there was an announcement but you couldn’t understand it.
Part 8 - to crew to get medical help now. Another woman also seemed to be having the same heat issue and she slumped down to the ground and sat with her back to wall. Once the medical issue happened there were a number of VV crew (and maybe officer)
Part 7 - Opening the doors brought some relief debut not fast enough as the lady in front of me collapsed in front of me. The male person in her party caught her before she hit the ground fortunately and another male person also grabbed her to help. I started yelling
Part 6 - got no reply. There were no officers visible in the area. People were pleading with the crew to please open the Crew area doors to this area and finally 2 doors were opened to try alleviate some of the heat from all the people jammed into the area.
Part 5 - People were disparate for information and asked the few crew that moved through the area about got no answers. My wife messaged on the App that the heat was rising and that the elevators to that floor needed to be shut down. Another lady next to me also messaged but
Part 4 - We were in that area 45 minutes prior to the event and watched more and more people exit from the elevators and continue to squeeze into the area in addition that had entered via the stairs. The heat continued to rise as more people jammed into the area.
Part 3 - the line to moving. The issue with VV processes dealing with this predicament was the problem. First, there was no communication that the de-boarding had been suspended until after the medical emergency occurred. No announcement or update in the VV app.
Part 2 - continued crowd into the area after debarkation at Grand Turk was suspended due to MSC ship that adjacent to the Scarlet Lady at the port. VV certainly can not be blamed for the suspension of de-boarding as directed by the Port Authorities. This suspension caused
@TimBrando@GatorsFB@ScottStricklin@TimBrando - as class of 1986 grad, I do take offense to calling the base TOXIC... is asking that your coach have better than a .500 record and maybe make a New Years Day Bowl or Playoffs too high? Napier is a good guy that could not adapt and relinquish OC play calling
@AnnaLeighWaters@the5spickleball@MajorLeaguePB The 5s brought the energy ever game in DB...so cool Friday when you hung out with us fans...and more importantly, THE KIDS!
