Brazil got a total of eight red cards including players and coaches. USWNT got five yellow cards as well.
“I mean, that was crazy game. But honestly, it was a great experience,” Trinity said.
“It was setting us up for Brazil next year [Women’s World Cup], I think it was really cool to experience that environment, and hopefully we have more U.S. fans there come the World Cup.
“That was insane, it was a really intense game. But honestly, like going from the first game to the second game, you view Brazil as obviously an amazing opponent, like so much respect for them in terms of their skill set.
“But the part of their game that they excel in is the mind games and the other game in the game. So I think we just did a really good job at matching that in the second game, and you saw the results of that.
“So obviously eight red cards is not ideal. I don't even know if you can call that a soccer game at that point, but yeah, I think it was cool to be a part of it.
“It was crazy to be a part of it, but I'm glad it happened, and I think that showed what we can bring as a team as well.
“I mean, at the end of the day, like when the game's all said and done, there's no hard feelings, like we all know it's part of the game.
“But for me, like if Brazil's gonna hit us like that, we have to hit them back. Nothing malicious, but more of like a message in that moment.
“Like, okay, Lindsey [Heaps] literally just got two hands shoved from behind, I'm gonna go chase the ball down and do the exact same thing.
“And I think, like, even just smiling about it, I think adds the like-heartedness to it. Like it's not cruel, it is just part of the game.
