@_awinterborne when things are made for the male gaze, there is way much more permission on what is allowed, regardless of the genre of the work. I am thinking on this manga/anime called Happy Sugar Life, that's a bit of psychological terror, you could say a bit similar to Killing Stalking

@venti_later the rise in fics that look like a literary version of a high school mental health pamphlet is astounding. Nothing wrong with writing that if you like it, but when people start harassing those who don't write like that, that's worrying.

@misucorn i would love also for Atsushi to be angry at Dazai for Akutagawa's manipulation, i think that would really mark Dazai falling down from the pedestal Atsushi sees him now.

@misucorn I think that was to be expected after the attack on them. Also, the only input he had up to that point was Kunikida's advice about how dangerous Akutagawa was, so i find it was not surprising he reacted like that.

@misucorn It's like he expected them to meet in an antagonistic situation, and have a sudden crush/fascination in each other (a la fifteen), like it happened to him. Because truly, having the first meeting being what it was (Akutagawa cutting his leg), was not a good idea.
