Advice learned from my mom, a 37 year retired educator: “If you always do what’s best for kids there will always be a place for you in education. You will also piss some people off along the way. Get used to it.” Tag a teacher who always does what’s best for kids👇.

Social-emotional learning is not a checklist, time of the day, or a curriculum.
Social-emotional emotional learning is how we conduct our everyday interactions.
Can we replace the perfect attendance award with kind kids awards already? Coming to school when you're sick or need a mental break doesn't deserve applause. Including others, sharing a lunch with someone, & not bullying others absolutely deserves recognition.
