really bad for the environment, and is super expensive. why pay for something when it comes free from your sink?!

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

23: invest in a water filter, or just drink straight from the tap! bottled water is usually not as pure as it states, (1/2)

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

However, this may not work if you have to share the toilet with others. So no stress if you can't do this one as easily.

20: "If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down" when it comes to flushing the toilet.

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

18: collect rain/other excess water and use that to water your plants.

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

Then, place all soapy dishes in the clean 1/2 of the sink and rinse all soapy dishes together once all washed.

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

15: wash dishes by hand- put all dirty dishes in 1/2 of the sink, spray with water, wash each dish at a time with soap W/O running the water

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

and turn the faucet all the way off. those sporadic water drops that fall from the spout when the water's not completely off add up.

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

12: Fix those leaky sinks, showers, toilets, etc! These leaks can add up to more than 10,000 gals of water wasted every year.

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

sorry, i've been slacking!

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

7: don't walk away while the shower water heats up. just check the temp with your hand after about 10 secs. it'll probably be warm

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

6: if you don't want to turn the shower off, try trimming a minute off your shower time.

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

older shower heads can use as much as 50 gals of water for a 10 min shower

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

5: turn off the water when you shower. A 10 min. w/o turning the water off can use about 20 gals of water (for 1994/post shower heads).

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

Day 4: Drink one less cup of coffee. It takes about 37 gals of water to make one cup of coffee. Drink tea instead if you need a boost.

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

use cold water when washing clothes and always wash a full load. washers can use up to 15-45 gals of H2O (depends on the washer you have)

[The Wells Project @buwellsproject]

Day1: Turn off faucet/use a lower water pressure when wash hands, brush teeth, wash dishes, etc. This can save more than 6 gals of H20 a day

World Water Day is on March 22! So keep up with daily tips on how to conserve water or facts on water waste/usage.
