@EssieMae110894@matt_horncastle Boomers were born post war when NZ was the second richest country on earth per capita. The generation before you were the ones who went through the bad times and gave their lives fighting in ww2. You were handed everything on a silver plate: wool subsidies, free uni, peace
@grillick@raynefq You are the one defending marx's belief that his philosophy was a natural science.... I am literally arguing agaisnt using empirical language like "discovery" when discussing philosophy ๐ญ
@NataliaAlGhoul@Tiare_MP Brits are indigenous to the Falklands islands. They migrated on their boats like Maori migrated from Polynesia to New Zealand. If you think the Falklands should be given to Argentina simply because of geographical proximity then you should support Aotearoa joining Australia.
@grillick@raynefq If discovery were simply the act of applying deductive logic from a "first principle" then a flat earther painting a picture from his imagination discovers just as much as Newton did when figuring out gravity from a falling apple. Obvious midwit term twisting
@floridarchist Your father in heaven shall condemn the pets for their coats are unanointed, and he shall bless the greased up chuds whose hair is slick with Holy Oil - The book of Norwood Verse 3
@MasterVril The aim of classical liberal economics is not to quickly resolve recessions. Deep shocks are seen as a correction of resource misallocation. They are not something to be artificially resolved in as short a time possible. Your example gives no proof to either school of econ
@dreadconquest@PedagogyMaxima You people are idiots. You have no understanding of economics. You have no arguments. You just shrug and say "no way people believe this lmao".
@PedagogyMaxima @Dysfunc80937081 You do realise that redistributing our limited fuel doesnโt increase it? For a one to one comparison a rich person buying fuel makes the most economic sense. They will on average generate the most societial benefit through their work. A surgeon needs fuel more than a barber
@PedagogyMaxima @Dysfunc80937081 If emergency services dont feel the pinch of prices they wont feel the need to ration fuel. They will spend it on unnecessary transfers etc. Public choice 101. Who are you to say that a private citizen wanting to drive to their dying grandma should get less of a market say?
@PedagogyMaxima @Dysfunc80937081 Complete midwit. Fuel will obviously be shipped to the regions if there is demand. Any price jacked high enough will warrant distribution.
Emergency services should also be given immediate cash injections to purchase fuel. Giving it to them for free ruins the price system.
@Kirstin8500432@PillarOfWamuu@DrewPavlou@PeteZogoulas Wrong. You actually do have a responsibility to your countrymen. The country is your broader family. For all of history we have recognised that we ought to provide for each other to some extent.
@MaxFRobespierre "Heh, why do you think some guy ought to be your cerominal leader simply because of his ancestry"
"Heh, why do you think some people ought to be loved by you simply because of their ancestry"
