one of the coolest texts i've gotten all month
gave a high school ecom kid a free BuzzSearch walkthrough last week
showed him how to use it to rip through Reddit/TikTok customer research, find better avatars + angles, and turn that into hooks way faster
few days later he sends:
“bro this is actually insane”
“i hit 25k”
fucking goat 😭
genuinely so happy for him
gonna break down exactly what he researched + the prompts he used below
btw we're doing a few free advanced BuzzSearch walkthroughs until 8/28
only really useful if you're already testing products / spending
dm me “demo” and i'll run yours with you
@Aymenzayani_ ong the avatar switch is criminally underused
ppl are so focused on what their competitor is running they never think about which avatars nobody has tried that format on yet
the research tells u which avatars are underserved before u spend any of ur mula testing
@ecomrudolfs selling transformation instead of the product is why this scaled so fast
the pain point was already there, they found it and put it in the ad
most fashion brands are still selling the fabric lol
@MarouRapi the creative research is the one nobody does in advance
by the time bfcm hits ur paying 3x the CPM to figure out which angle works
brands that print on black friday already knew their winning angle going in
Q3 is when Q4 creatives get figured out
@ArijanJanes "buy once - no savings" is doing so much work
ppl click subscribe bc it feels like the obvious choice not bc they were sold on it
making the otp feel like the dumb option without saying it directly is cleaner than any discount stack
@nicktheriot_ most brands know this ladder exists and still run product-aware ads at unaware traffic
then wonder why nobody clicks
ur hook has to meet them where they are not where u want them to be
@CarlWeische nah ads matter more than this at that range
but i'll give u the RPV point bc most ppl sending cold traffic to a dogshit page and wondering why CPA is high
fix the page and suddenly the ads start looking way better
both things are true
$10 avg postage at 120g is rough
if ur 3PL is on one coast and most ur customers are on the other ur gonna pay for that every single order
worth checking where ur orders are shipping to and whether a bicoastal setup would drop that number
at 600 orders/month the savings compound fast
@Moha7rifi week 2 bc i ripped competitor tiktok shop ads to validate demand before building anything
first sale before i even had real creatives, its that easy at first but afterwards if u wanna maintain it u gotta write stuff yourself and understand it lol
@endrjuxx@celispj@judgeme AI copy trained on nothing gives u generic slop
ong train it on what ur customer actually said in the comments and the output is completely different
we alr got the infra devved for our team
the angles part is where most get zucked
they pick the angles from their head instead of from what their customer is already saying
microplastics works for cutting boards bc someone in a reddit thread was freaking out about it six months ago
the research tells u which angles to build before u spend a dollar testing them
@EcomPadrino_ the guys that freeze on a $5k/month hire but have no problem throwing $10k at ads that don't work are everywhere
a players on the creative side pay for themselves in the first month if u pick right
most ecom bros are just scared to make the call
@ChelalaPierre1 the brands that survive turning off ads are the ones who knew their customer well enough to build something ppl actually come back for
most ecom brands don't know their customer that well
they just knew which ad made them buy once
tip 3 is the whole game
most ppl skim reddit for 20 mins and call it customer research
the ones chad scaling are reading forums for hours finding the exact sentences their customer uses to describe their own problem
then they put those sentences in the ad word for word
that's the difference between an ad that converts and one that doesn't
