@megbasham@HwsEleutheroi Also, while not specifically dealing with Catholicism, his church history Sunday school series when he was still at Phoenix Reformed Baptist is great! It’s still available on Sermon Audio.
@megbasham@HwsEleutheroi !!
His books, debates, and the Dividing Line covers just about any theological point you’d want to examine. He literally has decades of content to explore.
@Ken_FiveSolas Praying that our Lord will continue to comfort you.
Numbers 6:24-26
The LORD bless you and keep you;
the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
No need.
Such a place doesn’t exist.
Pray instead for those who do not yet know Christ, that “God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 2:26).
@megbasham If you’re not familiar with Polycarp’s martyrdom, you should look into it. Interestingly, it’s likely that Latimer and Ridley were familiar with Polycarp’s martyrdom as there is a connection between the two. The phrase, “play the man,” is found in both accounts.
@HwsEleutheroi You absolutely should. The group does have solid reformed brothers, but there’s also plenty of Soteriology 101 fans; as well as Caner and Kevin Thompson. There’s even a few KJVO people in there. Its a hoot! 😂
@WWUTTcom No. Slavery was not a sin in and of itself. It became sin when men broke God’s law concerning slavery. Those pointing to Ex. 21:16 are presupposing that the slaves that Edwards had were kidnapped. Also, it would have to be shown that Ex. 21:16 also applied to the buyer.
