Scary report from Justin Ling for @TorontoStar on Tories’ aggressive control of media coverage of their campaign: how many questions, who asks them, on what. This is exactly what Trump does in the US. Defunding CBC is part of this too. #cdnpoli https://t.co/bkZAsyaUo4
Stephen Harper wants you to blame CANADIANS for Trump’s chaos.
Canadians didn’t elect him.
We didn’t cause the tariffs.
We didn’t cause markets to plummet.
Canadians don’t want to annex Greenland or Panama.
Canadians aren’t praising Putin.
Stephen, stop defending Trump.
Just read @MarkJCarney’s nature announcement today committing that all @ParksCanada Parks & Historic Sites will be free this summer!!! Super smart incentive for Canadians to spend their time & money appreciating amazing Canadian places! Woo hoo! 🥳 (pic from Elk Island NP)
I'm so mad about this. Elon's the right hand of the maniac actively trying to take 🇨🇦 over. WHERE IS YOUR LOYALTY, @fordnation?! These men are a clear and present danger to Canadians....but sure, hand over $100 million of OUR MONEY TO THEM?!
Honestly, what is wrong with you?
Reminder that Doug Ford is funnelling your taxpayer dollars to Elon Musk. The same person that is encouraging Donald Trump to attack our country. That is indefensible.
@BonnieCrombie Tell him to cancel the Starlink contract. He’s inviting the fox into the hen house in the middle of a trade war. Nonsensical. There is a Canadian alternative.
Doug Ford must immediately cancel his $100 million deal with Starlink, a deal that he made without public consultation.
We cannot develop any reliance on US based service providers in an unstable political environment that disrespects signed agreements on a whim.
The tariffs imposed by the United States today are a clear violation of our trade agreements and require the most serious trade and economic responses in our history.

It might well be an election about which leader has the most reassuring approach to tackling the relationship. It's possible the PM could win such an election. But it might need to start with saying - "this is serious" rather than "don't worry, we've got this".
