When Welsh, being one of the first languages to hit the printing press, was actually pressed there were too many Vs (and Ks, I believe) so they chucked 1 F for a V sound and two for a F sound.
Good way to remember is compare OF and OFF in English.
Syrthiais i yn caru am Cymru, ac dw i'n caru Cymraeg. Ond... dw i'n dymuno yno roedd bandiau roc da iawn yn canu yn Gwyddeleg! Efallai bod yna. Dydw i ddim yn gwybod.

Random, single words I often say:
โข Bechod* = Bless [someone], diddums
โข Bendith = Bless you (after sneeze)
โข Ymdrech* = Effort (ie CBA!)
โข Iawn = Alright, ok, fine
โข Ynde!/? = Iโnit!/?
โข Dwmbo = Dunno
* Often used sarcastically!
