Life After Bar Course — Lessons (Compiled)
1. Your LDC PAs are potential employers, not guaranteed next employers. Don’t put all your hopes on them. Expand your network beyond them.
2. If you let colleagues do the heavy lifting during workshops and firm work, they won’t recommend you for opportunities. Nobody risks their network on someone who isn’t a team player. Fix this at LDC; after that, it’s too late.
3. The most examined areas at LDC are the most crowded and least lucrative. Explore emerging fields; AI & Tech, Health Law, Tax, Aviation and adopt a global outlook on legal practice.
4. Never solve a problem twice. Talk to peers who’ve had a smooth landing. Learn what they did right that you haven’t done yet.
5. If you’re volunteering or working on an allowance, don’t misrepresent your earnings. A colleague may skip referring an opportunity to you because they assume you’re already financially comfortable.
6. Personal branding matters. What are you known for? People will instinctively think of you in the areas you’ve most consistently branded yourself in.
7. Be legally innovative. Legal practice is a business. Develop tailored solutions for your clients. The best thing you can sell is confidence.
8. Keep acquiring qualifications. When the opportunity comes and your unique expertise saves the day, it will be worth it.
9. Your next breakthrough is on the other side of fear. Talk to peers, former PAs, and acquaintances about opportunities. They’ll remember you when one arises.
10. Networking is the biggest currency. Build relationships outside the profession too, your potential clients are mostly non-lawyers running businesses. B2B relationships form a significant part of any thriving legal practice.

The men people idolise on here are some of the most overt misogynists whose hatred for women takes center stage even in their art but let a 25 y.o woman have an opinion on men, it'll be a flood of male tears being cheered on by women with internalised misogyny.
Face of the girlchild front page with zero mention of the men who raped her and the family who abandoned her. Stop using passive verbs to describe men’s crimes that sell your paper.
Name them. Show them.
I find r*pe analogies to be so uncritical, so unimaginative, and indicative of a severe lack of grasp on the unimaginably severe weight that victims and survivors of sexual abuse are forced to carry – indefinitely.

Institutions are fueling them. Not the thousands of cases of femicide, sexual assault, rape, domestic violence and misogyny towards women. And it’s gender wars but it’s only women dying, being abused physically, denied equal pay, and being oppressed. Very stupid men!
I'm not a "cooking is my passion girly" it is absolutely a labor of love for me. So if I'm cooking I really do care for you because I pretend I can't cook most times
