“That is an SEC team right there. Those guys are big and imposing and athletic. They are on another level.”
@BeaverBaseball more than looked the part of a top-10 team in Surprise, Arizona, going 4-0 with a plus-39 run differential.
Holy cow. Mark Cuban is now making his rounds on national podcasts listened to by mostly young white men who lean conservative. The latest is with Theo Von & Mark Cuban torches Donald Trump as a scam & as a bad businessman. This matters a lot. Watch.

Dame gave the Portland Trail Blazers everything. He stayed loyal through thick and thin, and in today's NBA, that warrants the utmost respect.
But today, that chapter ends. Dame is finally going after that ring... 🏆
Shilo Sanders (son of Deion Sanders) and Brenden Rice (son of Jerry Rice) are set to matchup this Saturday.
This comes just about 25 years since Deion and Jerry had their last true head-to-head matchup.
Shilo Sanders currently leads the PAC-12 in solo tackles and hasn’t allowed a single TD.
While, Rice leads USC in receiving TD’s (5) and is second on the team in receiving yards (257).
This one should be a MOVIE 😳
All the people in Portland who say it is no big deal or even good that Walmart, REI, and now Target stores have closed in the city have no idea the impact such closures mean to the community in terms of access to goods, loss of tax revenue, increased unemployment, and the vacated large commercial spaces.
These large corporate stores are only a part of the problem. Portland has had hundreds of small businesses close or move due to the draconian Covid lockdowns and then the subsequent public safety disaster due to higher crime (much of it drug related) and homelessness.
I rarely shopped at Walmart or Target...or REI for that matter. That doesn't mean that losing these retailers doesn't or shouldn't concern me. Frankly, this appears to be a foreboding of the death of a city, and anyone who attempts to gaslight the community about these closures, especially those who reside within the news community, should not only not be taken seriously, they should be outwardly ridiculed.
Having fewer retailers is the same as having less or failing infrastructure. Having less infrastructure means more supply chain issues. At the end of the day, its not going to be about not having your favorite store or restaurant to go to any longer. It's going to be about decreased access to things we enjoy. When a city no longer works for its citizens, those citizens, who can afford to, move. Portland has the highest tax burden in the country, and seemingly, the least of any community in the country in terms of what we receive for that money.
