In light of everything happening recently, maybe we could get a 🧵 going where people could shout out agents they admire/ have had positive experiences with? I think they deserve some love, and we could all use a little extra positivity! #WriterCommunity#writerscommunity
💌NEW BLOG POST💌
Hi all, I’m thrilled to share my latest blog post, THE ULTIMATE QUERY LETTER TEMPLATE TO GET YOU INSTANT FULL/PARTIAL REQUESTS. I’m so grateful to everyone who reached out saying my posts have helped them & hope this one helps you too!

@AlyssaMatesic But I'll do the exercise:
It's past my lunch hour and I'm hangry. Guess I got lucky. My stomach can't always handle these scenes: dismembered bodies with arcane circles under them. But no trace of magic. I suck in the cold autumn air and think, damn, I've seen this before. 2/2
@AlyssaMatesic Even though it's an example, it's still a boring read 😅. I'd X the whole thing. As a reader, I have no emotional attachments or investments in the speaker at this point. So, I would've said no to the book. If it's already this dull, pretty sure the rest of the story is a no. 1/2
@tedwardwrites More or less the same. Even if it's nothing good it gets my brain into a routine which in turn helps with even more/better ideas. When I took a hiatus from writing more than a year ago, I noticed a significant decrease in words just flowing and more staring at a blank screen.
For #amquerying authors, the 1st 10 pages are vital. They can determine whether an agent requests a full or passes on your query. If you’ve gotten feedback that your first pages aren’t engaging or just aren’t sure if they’re working, check them against these common issues (a 🧵):
I have so many editing post on my old blog. I really should share about them more often as they can be useful.
But here is a list of them: https://t.co/HiiK2VKUau
