I just upgraded my Surface Pro 7 to #Windows11... and there's bit of a surprise for power users.

The Settings app has a brand-new disk partition manager, and it implements almost everything in the old Disk Management tool, diskmgmt.msc.

I'm amazed nobody brought this up.

Correction: A now-deleted Tweet erroneously stated that the bird in the image was a Common Raven. On review, it is a Fish Crow. Sorry for the confusion.

The bird in the May 31 Tweet, on the other hand, does indeed appear to be a raven.

These birds can be hard to tell apart. Common Ravens, American Crows, and Fish Crows were all found in various images taken on May 31, June 1, and July 3. I guess I need to pay closer attention :\

These two photos, taken on June 2, show how confusing things can get. The upper bird is larger and has the scruffy neck characteristic of a Common Raven, whihe the lower bird is probably an American Crow or Fish Crow. Yet their beaks don't seem much different.

To make matters even more confusing, Common Grackles were also observed in the same area, and these aren't corvids at all.

[1/3 #Windows11] I have deep concerns about the Windows 11 hardware requirements. I get why a TPM is required (it helps protect against low-level malware), but requiring an 8th-gen Intel Core or 2nd-gen AMD Ryzen processor locks out the vast majority of PCs released before 2019.

[2/3 #Windows11] One of my older laptops has a Ryzen 7 2700U, which is a first-generation Ryzen processor. This system is unable to run Windows 11, and it's just under three years old. My desktop, at 44 months old, is only able to run Windows 11 because of a processor upgrade.
