@anjacks0n@martinoreilly That containers can be defined as a technical format, such that all containers can be treated with similar (same?) preservation strategies. E.g. different format versions can be defined by kernel API changes instead of vendor flavors.
@anjacks0n@martinoreilly The CiTAR project is currently looking into container preservation (https://t.co/K8NsYABQhW). The basic question is: are container just another dig. object class? If yes, preservation can be quite efficient.
