@michaelgbaron Very simple- hitters approach is awful, not making contact on balls down the middle from average pitchers. Nothing to do with ball. Never seen such poor contact on balls down the middle or swings on 2-1 counts at balls two feet out of the zone

How many strikeouts have you seen this year on takes down the middle or missing ball by 2 feet, or worried about launch angle?

@JesseRogersESPN @JeffPassan Just read the article. A little disappointed that hitters approach isn’t even mentioned as the MAIN problem. Hitters use analytics to guess pitch & swing, resulting in k’s. They aren’t adjusting or choking up or trying to out ball in play. It’s swing for the fences or nothing
