When I started Yam Pool 3months ago, honestly I just wanted to have a Cardano stake pool and “yam” made me laugh. That’s it. I didn’t have any grand expectations. But last week I was looking at our pool rewards and I realized…holy shit, I can actually fund the @giiyotech holiday bootcamp with this money.
And so I did.
I bought laptops.
A projector.
Rented a hall.
Got all the IoT materials we’ve been dreaming about.
Bee jumped in and sponsored 5 kids which made me cry a little (okay, a lot). Also finally bought myself a fridge because apparently running a successful stake pool means I can afford to keep food cold now (fancy, I know).
I am not exaggerating when I tell you that none of this would’ve been possible without the support of the Cardano community. Every person who is delegating to our weird little yam pool just changed a kid’s life in Cameroon. Like, literally. Right now there’s some teenager who’s about to learn JavaScript because you decided to stake with us instead of some massive pool.That’s insane and beautiful and I don’t even know how to process it. 🥹🫶🏾
