In St. Paul today, I joined with MN Hospital Association President Dr. Koranne to highlight the need to take steps that will ease the IV fluid shortage caused by the hurricanes. We must support our hospitals and work to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Thank you @SenTinaSmith for meeting today with our hospital leaders from across the state. We greatly appreciate your leadership, especially on rural and mental health issues.
This Public Health Week, I want to thank all of the health care professionals around the country who work to keep our communities safe.
Public health emergencies affect everyone, and we are a stronger nation when we support a workforce that keeps Americans happy and healthy.
Thank you @SenAmyKlobuchar and @SenTinaSmith for your support to designate today as Health Workforce Well-Being Day of Awareness!

Despite having more staff on hand to handle insurance claims, @uhdcare CEO Rick Ash says there are still delays in getting patients approved. This is causing major problems for patients who need to be seen. #mnleg
Thank you @SenAmyKlobuchar for supporting the 77 critical access hospitals across Minnesota. The federal critical access hospital designation offers financial stability for small, rural hospitals and protects access to essential health care services in smaller communities.
Thank you @SenTinaSmith for leading on this important issue. MHA supports your bill to remove barriers for patients to access telehealth services across Minnesota.
One in six days of inpatient care is unnecessary in Minnesota hospitals, causing a backlog of patients receiving care in the wrong setting, while others wait for a bed. 99% of inpatient medical and surgical beds are occupied most days in the Twin Cities.
January 1st marked the largest expansion of Medicare’s mental health services in a generation. Thanks to Democrats, Medicare now covers mental health services provided by licensed marriage and family therapists and social workers.
Today was a special day at our CCM Wellness Center as we had the honor of hosting US Senator Amy Klobuchar.
We would like to share our gratitude to Senator Amy Klobuchar for her visit and support for rural health care and community wellness in Minnesota.
I joined rural hospital leaders to discuss how we can continue to improve access to high-quality medical care in rural areas. I’m committed to strengthening our health care workforce and making sure rural hospitals can succeed in communities across the state.
Hospital and health system leaders are in Washington D.C. to advocate for the health of Minnesotans. Thank you, @RepFinstad for prioritizing rural health care and making time to discuss the challenges rural hospitals are facing.

“These payment cuts would disproportionately impact rural communities. For Alomere Health, these cuts could tremendously affect our financial capacity to provide life-saving health care to the communities we serve in central Minnesota.”
Thank you to @RepFeenstra and all the rural healthcare providers who joined me for a productive roundtable discussion at the Hormel Institute in Austin. We discussed challenges that rural hospital systems are facing, such as workforce shortages and rising costs. In Congress, I will continue to work hard to ensure our communities in #MN01, especially in rural areas, have access to the high-quality healthcare that they need.
I joined @childrensmn leaders, doctors, and other experts to talk about the impact of drug shortages on patients like Debbie, who has been unable to get certain cancer meds she needs due to this issue. We need to take action on shortages and I have a bipartisan bill to help.
NEW: The Department of Labor just announced a rule cracking down on insurance companies that avoid covering mental health at the same level as physical health.
Let's talk about part of the new rule that I've been working to pass legislation on: ghost networks.
