Gen Z will not get this but one of the most valuable lessons I learned in life is that unless your limbs have been chopped off in a freak accident, you SHOW UP.
To events, social gatherings, opportunities, to dinner, weddings, birthdays. To things that are important to your friends. To life.
People used to just show up.
Part of what made communities work was this basic habit of participation. The social fabric was built from people being present for one another repeatedly over time.
I think antisocial behaviour is in large part a modern phenomenon.
A lot of it is downstream of the profoundly thyrotoxic / serotonergic nature of modern life. But we can RETVRN.
Show up anyway. Trust me when I say that most good things in life happen because you were in the room.
@dbrasco3180@Greysonshreds@ibrycecrawford The Jews who worshiped the golden calf genuinely thought they were worshiping God. Jews had Jesus crucified for claiming to be God & Muslims say Jesus was not God & was not crucified, Christians do. Therefore the 3 cannot be worshipping the same God. ✝️
@tzuyusvi Nice try, the law is written on our hearts. We all inherently know good vs evil but we all compromise and let evil in and most are overcome by it. God is perfect and cannot be in the company of imperfection so he sent his only begotten son to live a perfect life & redeem us ✝️
@TheChosenUte Utah would for sure beat JMU, NT, & Tulane. They would have a chance against Ou, BYU, Virginia, USC, Zona, GT, & Mizzou. They would be no match for the rest.
@NatSparbeck@NFL His right foot was clearly down when he gained control of the ball… maybe you should ask for his gloves to be checked for super glue or something but he had 2 feet down. That ball stuck like white on rice. & I’m a Cowboys fan.
