They even decided to render Forsaken in Tranquillien very unimportant, no signs of combining their cultures there- AND forgot the Cult of Forgotten Shadow, like, they just wanted Void Elves as the only void experts >_>
Wouldn’t trust midnight writers with a 100 foot pole with the forsaken but
Under city rebuilt AND a giant necropolis above it, with all the HD forsaken stuff with goo, undead etc would be so cool
Lordaeron any other aesthetic is shit stop bringing it up. Death to the living
The issue with this, is Frostborn are flesh and blood, not made of ice or stone, the fact they're just blue earthen ingame was more of a limitation of the time and wasn't reflected in their quests. So YEAH, Earthen can kinda be them, but thats not the real Frostborn!
@that_kind_oforc It's still called tha Sunwell. Its still called the Sunwell Ramparts. The NPCs outside are still called Sunwell Honorguards.
Like. Nothing else calls ot the Dawnwell except Quest and NPC. They couldn't even commit to their subpar story and plot.
Tbh, this is why I'd like to see class 'skins'. Necromancer can easily be a 'skin' of Warlock; Spellbreaker a 'skin' of at least Protection Paladin or maybe Prot Warrior as you said, and so on. Demo/Afflic are just Necromancers with demons xD
Spellbreaker could easily be a warrior spec, focused on magical effects instead of pure warrior
Tinker could be rogue or hunter, but that works as a full class not just a spec
Necromancer works for warlock as a spec
They can still do these single fantasy things, as specs.
WTB Blademaster instead of Slayer and Spiritwalker instead of Farseer- particularly that second one. Farseer has always been the 'super Shaman leader-esque' title, see Legion. Yeah, wise men too, but Spiritwalker was RIGHT THERE! Tauren themed and all!!!
A lot of people seem to skip over the fact that willingly selecting a Hero Class™️ is essentially signing a waiver that states that you have a basic understanding not only of your class lore but also a good understanding of the world built around it.
Not to mention, it could also be used under the lens of the Zandalari making amends for Cata/MoP (and it might help them right Zul'jarra better by having Talanji so close at hand, since as it is, they feel very similar character-wise?)
The Amani storyline could have been a thousand times better in Talanji’s hands. By setting things right, I’ll feel connected to the Amani and the Zandalari. A plot steeped in troll culture, their lore, and their gods as they resolve their problems…
@Velravyn At least Holy is about to get nerfed- though Afflic is about to get buffed (with a bit of nerfing, hard to tell where it'll end up, I assume weaker?)
Whaaaaaaaat, Arcane power addicted elves suddenly becoming a Holier then thou Kingdom in a healed land with just one ruined Scourge fortress to speak of? No mentions of Wretched recovery, only 2 Prey quests, and a disdain for dark magics? TOTALLY THE SAME🙄
I can't explain but the story feels completely divorced from the setting in a bad way. Sometimes this works for me (Dragon Isles, Khaz Algar, Undermine), but with the Elves and Amani I feel like these are completely different people from the ones we knew 20 years ago
I assume in the Last Titan we will see every major faction we've helped since Dragonflight help for different parts. Amani, I expect, will be helping Drakkari/Loa remnants. Earthen in Ulduar, Arathi either as Scarlet standins or helping against Undead/Scarlets, Wyrmrest, etc
@Dork___Fish Nope, it's the interpretation of those who wrote the article.
Red highlight shows the important bit.
The actual quote here is "We want to make characters that make you want to see what comes next for them". Where has Blizzard stated anything about the two not going anywhere?
Read this in a discord I'm in, but imagine a world where Zul'jan's death inspires a faction of Loa haters (since he can't be the only one), or his death actually causes Zul'jarra to develop into a harsher leader... or if they turned to like, demons (as the darkest 'spirits')
@Warcraft@ArtofNickRobles Where's the deaths in the Wetlands? I mean, between the crocs, murlocs, raptors, spiders, and slimes- thats a lot of adventure and a classic part of that journey!
@Stiven_SRB My assumption- if Skyborne Elf IS correct (and the only way I'll accept it) is if they're just High Elves who reconnected with their Night Elf roots in a unique way (maybe with Night Elf help, since I refuse to suggest Haranir help)
I mentioned this before. She's a Loa, despite what they say. Old lore: Whatever a troll worships as a Loa, is a Loa. Newer lore: Loa are Wild Gods; technically, the Rift of Aln is part of the Emerald Dream, perhaps even its true origin, so... Rift of Aln origin..? Yeah...
Can someone explain to me how Ula'tek isn't a Loa?
Magical powerful animal, that also happens to spawn animals of the same nature.
Even with the retcon to Loa, Ula'tek still follows what makes a Loa a loa???
@patf0rd@luxthos Lol nope, Bane of Havoc still doesn't work with Wither since THE WAR WITHIN, despite lots of reporting since then, and forum posts. Why would they care now?
It's still just so interesting how nobody ever actually *argues* with Zul'jan on the point of the loa abandoning them, and I really want to know why.
You'd figure they'd at least have *someone* try to justify their absence, but no character even tries to have that conversation.
@Velravyn Yeah, but earlier in an Amani crypt (instead of mummies for some dumb reason) there were also Zandalari ghosts listed as Amani (Ghostlands, while chasing Zul'jan in the main questline), it just feels lazy lol
I'm hoping for a TBC / WoD Remix double trouble. Using the mirror crossover points as the Infinite hubs to swap between Outlands and Draenor (as well as your Garrison), it'd be peak. Could even do Hard Mode as the timelines crossing over with each other!
I'm hoping for Battle for Azeroth Remix or Warlords of Draenor Remix next. Because think of the Orcish Fits we could get.
Varok Saurfang styled armor.
Grommash styled armor.
DUROTAN styled armor!
Think of the GOOD transmogs!
@Velravyn I def. loved how Malacrass looked in the animation, like a marionette, I just hate how Blizz just made his ghost Zandalari for some reason??? They did that for mobs in Eversong too, like is it laziness? Just replace the Zanda rocks/scales with tattoos at the very least!
