Last but not least: 🛑 Waiting for the opportunities to come to you
Faith without work is DEAD. You can’t sit around and expect clients to just come to you. It doesn’t work like that.
Not every opportunity that comes your way or every client who pops up in your inbox is worth your time and energy.
Use your best judgement and pay attention to the red flags early on 🚩
Don’t get distracted by the 💰or who the person is that may be reaching out to you.
Next up: 🛑 Stop taking on every opportunity that comes your way.
This is great for stylists who are new to the industry and are wanting to gain experience and exposure.
But if you’re a little bit more seasoned, you should only be saying “yes” to opportunities that align.
Truly understanding your value starts with a mindset shift. And this can take time.
But you can start by setting boundaries and only working with people who believe in what you’re doing.
If you’re not confident in your expertise and what you bring to the table, no one will take you seriously. And you’ll continue to attract the clients who don’t see the value in investing in you.
Next up: 🛑 Styling for free
This one may sound easy but so many stylists underestimate their value and really struggle with charging their worth.
Mindset and confidence plays a really big part in this.
What you SHOULD be focusing on is the value you’re providing to your audience and the impact you’re making in peoples lives with your expertise.
You can do this with 40 or 4000 followers. The amount will never matter.
