@thegothamgal Thanks for sharing, Seoul is one of my favorite places. Their garment district is amazing, and the overnight wholesale market (with street food too). And I love that you can travel and eat out and stay fairly healthy with the local Korean food. Enjoy your time there!
@AldenWicker "Unfortunately, while the reaction to the Rana Plaza disaster may have spurred the adoption of greater safety standards, it may have also slowed the country’s economic progress." 🤡🤡🤡 This is the conclusion???
@TimmerFidelity @peabodyessex @SquawkStreet This prompted me to go watch cuz I really wanted to hear what you had to say. I really appreciate the quantitative and very clear-cut response you gave out. (so many tend to be either wish-washy or full of hopium "ifs"). I also love your appreciation and support for the arts btw.
@jessicaschiffer It's exclusion right. It's so unrelatable it confuses you it's cool. The cool kids club you are excluded from. Until you are like, hey that looks kinda sickly...
@AldenWicker I wonder if some of what's happening (inflation, economic downturn) will squeeze out some of these fast fashion. Of course, discretionary spending goes down altogether but I don't see how the razor thin margins from cheap fast fashion can turn a profit.
@AldenWicker wow.. I don't understand how that leather bag could be $60 (and on the same site, sell a 'vegan leather' bag for $40). It's just not possible to have sustainability at fast fashion prices...
@AldenWicker Oh that's awful. I don't think the concept of free returns is as common outside of North America. I know when I immigrated from HK when I was young, I was shocked about the ability to return something (with no reason like it's broken).
@Ivy_Zelman hi, happy new year! I have been following & watching a lot of your interviews. Having worked in finance (in tech) I have a lot of respect for your work and also how you approach things. I had a follow up question personally, how can I reach out to you? DM? Email? Thx
