How Should Your Door Open?
You should have your door swinging away from the light switch. You never have your door swing into a room because you lose space and can’t really have anything behind your door.

Where do You Buy Interior Doors?
You can buy them from shops like Howden, Selco which typically sell good quality doors. If a customer wants to pick their door out, places like B&Q and Wickes are where they can find interior doors usually more expensive than at a trade counter
What Makes a Good Quality Door
It comes down to the materials used in creating the door which allow it to last longer and may perhaps stylistically work better with your interior instead of a cheaper lightweight door.

Different Types of Interior Doors
You have your standard lightweight doors made out of wood and cardboard. Solid core doors which can be made of chipboard with an oak veneer finish. Lastly you have your fire doors which are usually in the kitchen for fire prevention.
How to Fit a Door Handle
You mark your door a metre up from the floor level. Level up the center of the door with the flat edge. Drill a hole between 22 - 25mm deep depending on the latch you buy. Measure where the bar goes through for the handles.

The Price of Doors
Your standard lightweight door can cost you between £25 and £70. Solid core doors start from £120 and go as high as the finish you want. Fire doors typically start at £90 and go up from there.

Old Vs New Door Frames
You should always go with a new door frame whenever possible because existing door frames can come with lots of issues that need addressing before you even get to fit your door.

Can a Homeowner Hang a Door?
It’s pretty straightforward but depends on your frames, there’s nothing that can go horribly wrong but if you don’t feel confident always involve a trade.

Does Door Quality Matter?
The better quality the door the more expensive it is, however it will last longer because it’s made with higher quality materials.

Opinion on Skirting Board Colour
For modern houses white skirting makes the colour of the walls pop and is generally better than trying to match the colour of the wall.

Spraying Vs Brushing & Rolling
Spraying can be very messy and by the time you taped and setup everything you could’ve already painted a full wall.

How Do You Roll Your Paint?
In order to get your paint nice and even on walls it’s important to roll the same way each time and load up your roller with the same amount of paint each time as well.

How to Remove a Radiator
Make sure to shut both valves off, next you need to dump the pressure inside. Let the water flow out and open the bleed valve to help the water flow quicker. After the water is gone close the bleed valve, flip the radiator upside down and take it away.
Installing Your Vertical Radiators Correctly
Vertical radiators like this have a flow restricter inside to stop the water from just going in the inlet and coming straight out the other side. So it’s extremely important to install a vertical radiator correctly.

Using PTFE on Radiator Valves
PTFE is used on the threads of standard panel radiator valves and normally comes in a white colour. Blue liquid PTFE can be used on darker valve colours to give it a bit better look.
