day 1 of building small ai stuff in public
1 follower, $0 made, 0 hours in. honestly kinda nervous posting this lol
first thing i'm making is a free ai prompt kit for local businesses. i'll share every step here, numbers included
not gonna lie, this $30 bundle is the best deal in ai rn π₯
i'm not a coder. i just talk, and suddenly i'm shipping like a full stack team. a year ago this would've cost me a whole crew π
@theo honestly after opus 5.5, my claude sub became the best money i've spent all year. claude does the thinking, grok bot does the work around the clock. those two pay for themselves
@PrajwalTomar_ one agent per business plus a planner on top is exactly how i've been thinking about it. once each stream has its own lane, the mental load drops hard. juggling everything in one chat was the part that kept burning me out
@jasonlk wild how many sites still leave leads sitting for days. an agent that replies in minutes and only escalates the real ones is such an obvious win. that's the kind of boring ops work i'd rather hand off first
@aakashgupta same tech was sitting in front of both of them. one had millions of customers and played defense, the other just started building. ai is a wrench, what you point it at decides everything
@XFreeze@bot the little errands are what win me over. nobody brags about check-in but those ten minute chores pile up fast. i hand the boring stuff to grok bot and keep my head on real work
@levelsio tells you where the real value sat all along. the app was just the wrapper, years of real customer data was the asset. if i build anything now that's the part i'd guard like gold
@yongfook that list is the part nobody screenshots. ai makes the first 10% feel free, then you meet the other 90% and suddenly the paid product looks cheap
@levelsio pretty sure you're right. once the boring ops get automated, the scarce thing becomes the human who still cares. early adapters get to sell that layer instead of drowning in chores
@aakashgupta six green dashboards and a flat bank account is way too real lol. i've paid for plenty of subs that brought in almost nothing. now the only number i check is how many strangers actually paid this week
@thekitze guilty here too lol. one real email from a paying customer beats a week of guessing from the timeline. their pain tells you what to build next, the vibes never do
@aakashgupta i see it as a wrench, not a pink slip. a small shop that could never afford someone answering calls at 2am suddenly can. the people who learn to run these agents are the ones getting hired next
@aleximarkett building got cheap, customers didn't. i'd take one tool that finds me a buyer with a real pain over ten that help me ship faster. that's where the money actually sits
wait, this is just code??
no blender, no animator. claude opus 5.5 wrote the whole thing and it nails the classic animation principles. still not over it lol
@illyism ngl i get the $50 saving urge but most people hate maintaining what they vibe-coded. paying for something that already works buys peace of mind
@shivsakhuja feels right. the job isn't typing prompts all day, it's setting goals, building guardrails, and feeding the agent real context. that's managing, not chatting
@Michael_Fenech_ this. prompting alone never fixed my bots. clear rules, one job each, and me checking the output before it posts. same skills as managing a junior hire
@jasonlk this. stop guessing features. if nothing is broken they won't switch. profit comes from their pain point, not from how fancy your ai stack looks
