On my way to NALI Kyankwanzi where I was sent by the Chairman PLU @mkainerugaba to give a lecture to Ugandans who were repatriated from South Africa, I came a cross a very vibrant team of supporters of General MK who welcomed us with a big drive after which I had time and talked to them, they are interested and eagerly waiting to participate in the structures of the Patriotic League of Uganda.

Later, I met the outgoing High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania, Maj. Gen. Paul Kisesa Simuli, and the outgoing Ambassador of Sweden, Carina Maria Håkansson, who paid me farewell courtesy calls. We discussed matters of mutual interest and our continued cooperation. I thank them for their service and wish them good luck in their future endeavours.

Today, I chaired the first Cabinet meeting of the new administration following the successful Cabinet Induction Retreat at Kyankwanzi. I urged the ministers to remain focused on disciplined implementation, accountability and efficient service delivery as we work to fulfil the NRM’s commitment of securing Uganda’s socio-economic transformation over the next five years.
