This hasn't happened for a quite a while. Fresh Snow falling on Mt. Seymour in Vancouver, BC in the month of June. Elevation of 1,200m... 🤨 #bcstorm#shareyourweather
please normalize letting people eat their lunch alone if they want and decompressing for 30 min without the pressure of being considered antisocial in the workplace.
the audacity of america proposing to make canada the 51st state because canada hit a rough quarter when canada has more natural resources than most continents combined
PM Carney: "Canada was summoned into being by peoples who learned imperfectly and over time to hold their differences in common. It hasn't always been easy, and we have at times failed ... Each failure has taught us something about what it means to be the country we aspire to be."
PM Carney warned Canadians that things would get worse before they got better, so the man is honest. I’ve never seen a PM hustle economically as much as this across the world and the country. If a barely-nicked recession is the worst of it after economic war with the US, wow.
This isn't a national crisis. It's not great news, but going into intense negotiations with the US and you can see some are desperately trying to pressure Carney into a deal that would be one sided. Don't fall for it.
PM Carney will not sign a new trade agreement with the United States unless it benefits Canada. That is the bottom line. And no matter what President Trump says they need our resources.
The pos in the whitehouse got himself in a very dark place with Iran & he's worried about the midterms. He's in panic mode. He's lashing out at Greenland, Cuba & Canada Again. He will become more deranged because he's losing & he knows it. Keep Calm & Carney on. #CanadaStrong
Customers say they arrived for confirmed reservations and found the restaurant shut with its sign removed. The website is private, Instagram appears deleted, OpenTable bookings are paused, and Google lists it as temporarily closed.
So looking at a list of UFA and RFA Nhlers...Canucks in theory could go get Kuzmenko, Podkolzin and Silvos, who we should have kept in the first place...not a fan of the idea of getting Gallagher, but bring back Schenn in the elder teacher roll IMHO.
I have just posted up my Claude Lemieux cards lot, R.I.P. He just brought in the torch to the game on Monday, his passing is so sudden/shocking. https://t.co/dFocUaFoqE
What started as “growing pains” turned into every parent’s worst nightmare.
A 6-year-old boy named Nixon had been complaining about leg pain for weeks.
His parents thought it made sense:
he played sports constantly, ran everywhere, and never slowed down.
One afternoon, before leaving for his older brother’s baseball tournament, they decided to get his leg checked just to be safe.
His mother even joked in the waiting room that she was paying for a doctor to confirm it was only growing pains.
Then the X-ray came back.
The doctor quietly pulled her aside and pointed to a large tumor growing inside Nixon’s femur.
Within hours, the family was at Primary Children’s Hospital.
Nixon packed stuffed animals, coloring books, and his iPad into a backpack, unaware that his life had just changed forever.
Doctors performed scans, blood work, and a biopsy.
Then came the words no parent is prepared to hear:
The tumor was malignant.
Cancer.
And it had already spread to his lungs.
His mother described the moment as feeling like the world stopped spinning.
What made it even more devastating was that this family had already walked hospital halls like these before.
Years earlier, they had lost another son named Cole, who survived only six days after birth.
Now they found themselves back in the same hospital fighting for another child’s life.
But Nixon refused to stop being Nixon.
He dreamed of becoming a Navy SEAL.
Ran barefoot through snow because “Navy SEALs do it.”
Wanted to play football and baseball.
Planned to learn Chinese like his brothers.
Even during chemotherapy, he kept fighting.
As treatments continued, the community rallied around him:
NixonStrong shirts
fundraisers
pony rides
military visits
cards and gifts from strangers
teammates shaving their heads in solidarity
One night, his family even held a head-shaving party after his hair began falling out.
But behind the support and smiles was the brutal reality of childhood cancer.
Painful injections.
Vomiting from chemotherapy.
Weeks in the hospital.
A little boy asking why his body hurts so much.
His mother wrote that during one especially difficult treatment, Nixon looked up at her while getting sick, and she could see the fear and sadness in his eyes.
Still, the family keeps moving forward one day at a time.
Holding each other through the hardest moments.
Laughing when they can.
Treasuring the good days.
Because sometimes courage does not look loud or dramatic.
Sometimes courage looks like a 6-year-old boy carrying stuffed animals into a cancer ward and deciding to fight anyway.

“AND YOU STILL DARE TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH…”
Sasha Legerman: This is too accurate not to share.
This Australian’s response to Trump’s rant that “NATO does nothing for America” is absolutely devastating:
“Mate. You run a country where 600,000 homeless people will sleep on the streets tonight.
A country where 40% of adults can’t cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money.
A country where insulin costs more than a car payment, and people ration it just to stay alive.
A country where medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy.
A country where women die in hospital parking lots because doctors are too afraid of abortion laws to treat miscarriages.
You imprison more of your own citizens than any country on Earth.
More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea.
In the land of the free, 2 million people sit in cages, and a quarter of them haven’t even been convicted of anything.
They’re simply too poor to afford bail.
Your life expectancy is declining. You’re the only developed nation where that’s happening.
Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba’s.
Your children practice active shooter drills between math and English classes while you sell defense stocks to your friends.
Your minimum wage hasn’t changed in 15 years.
Your teachers work two jobs, your veterans sleep under bridges, and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that never attacked you.
And now a convicted criminal — found liable for sexual abuse, defending a pedophile, sleeping with a porn star, and running the biggest dumpster-fire campaign since the Taliban — is thanking you for yet another disaster.
And you call Greenland badly governed?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world.
Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment.
‘NATO wasn’t there when we needed them.’
When exactly was that, champ?
September 11?
Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU.
Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU.
Australia wasn’t even in NATO, and we still showed up. For twenty years.
And then you left at 2 a.m. without telling anyone and left everybody else to clean up the mess.
You don’t care that a great nation is being terrorized by your friend, and you haven’t shown it a single ounce of sympathy.
So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan.
The only thing badly managed in this picture is your damn mouth.
And you still dare to lecture the rest of the world?”
I don't get to create slow-motion Snowflake videos every year in the middle of May on Mt. Seymour in Vancouver, BC. But here we are on May 15th, 2026. #bcstorm#shareyourweather
