New article alert 📣 ‼️ @3s_yp study - invaluable co-production with young people @YoungMindsUK - high rates of self-harm in our sample serve as an important reminder for increased investment in prevention and early intervention services for those at risk https://t.co/ffIBcXG9zA
“We are very clear that research inclusion is essential—not political. If your research isn’t representative, it’s not going to improve outcomes across our population… This isn’t just moral; it’s scientific and economic.”
- Our CEO @LucyChappell2 on the importance of inclusion in research from her interview with @Voa1234 for @bmj_latest

Six changes we’re asking the Government to make to young people’s mental health services...
1/ All services to run to age 25, not 18 – removing the hard barrier between child and adult services
2/Have an open-access early support hub in every community, where young people can walk in and get the support they need, without needing an appointment
3/ Make care personalised and give young people more say over their treatment, instead of a one-size-fits-all approach
4/ Improve connection between services like schools, GP, social services, SEND support services
5/ Reduce NHS waiting times to a maximum of 4 weeks
6/ Better support for mental health professionals
These changes are just the start. Our mental health services need a massive overhaul, and we’ve got plenty of suggestions on how to make that happen. We’re ready to talk in more detail @Keir_Starmer.
