Let's continue to celebrate #AfricaEvidenceWeek2024 and showcase the state of evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) in Africa.
On #Day5 of #AfEW2024, we promote a blog post by @byedwin1, a runner-up of the Africa Evidence Leadership Award 2024 in the Evidence User category. He reflects on his work and how he contributes to #AfricanEIDM: https://t.co/vNXpsQbTst.
He mentions that we are working toward #EIDM in #Africa, which encompasses the entire value chain from creating #evidence to its application. This process includes gathering and processing data; after processing data, information is produced; after information is created, knowledge is made; and after knowledge is produced, wisdom is produced.
This level of insight generation makes a substantial contribution to our overall development. Evidently, "data" is the crucial word in this instance. The data processing provides us with concrete proof of our decisions. He emphasises that #EIDM is meant for everyone, not just particular individuals.
We believe that "#OnlyTogether can #EIDM become a reality in #Africa."
