Day 5: My day started and ended with Ingrid Denney. I learned about the nervous system, vagus nerve, breathing, fascia, posture etc. I feel incredible! I’m excited about using these methods while I teach and also may teach some of those techniques to my students! @KedcARTS@KEDC1
Day 4 cont: Thank you @KedcARTS@KEDC1 for having a session on retirement. It is such a daunting thing to think about and plan for-especially when you’re no where near it haha. I was very informed and humbled but learned a lot.
Day 4 cont: I couldn’t go through this conference without going to one of the amazing @EdTechKelly sessions. This woman is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to technology. The Canva knowledge I learned was astronomically mind blowing-helps that she’s kind too. @KedcARTS@KEDC1
Day 4: I started the day with the magical Ingrid Denney! This woman knows everything about the body and by the time I left I had switched my schedule to make sure I was able to come back. I learned a lot about the spine and can’t wait to learn more! @KedcARTS@KEDC1
Day 3: Pat Sturtzel out of Louisville Ky did an amazing job teaching us to hand stitch a quilt square and learning how to create an easy relief stamp for fabrics! Super going to use that technique in the future. @KedcARTS@KEDC1
Day 3: Started the day with some art therapy strategies from a dear friend @jl_williams1 (she did great by the way). Can’t wait to bring those activities back to the classroom. @KedcARTS@KEDC1
Day 2: AI on lock! Between @DiffitApp and @canva I have a whole toolbox of things I can use to enhance my lesson plans. Plus, magic layers?? Love! Great speakers and a great conference. @KedcARTS@KEDC1
Day 1: theater, music, the revolutionary war. I learned so much outside my content area and I am better for it! Lots of fun ice breaker ideas for the new school year! @KedcARTS@KEDC1
@KedcARTS summer conference day 1 in the books!!! It’s always wonderful to meet back up with grant members, learn new things and it never hurts to GET A LAPTOP!! Thank you @KEDC1 we love the opportunities you provide for us!!
@DiffitApp is such an incredible resource for all contents, but I love that I can use it to teach the arts! There are very few websites that can delve into that subject matter without sounding monotonous, this allows students and teachers alike to dig deeper! Thanks @KedcARTS
if you haven’t checked out KETs education resources you are missing out! @KedcARTS strikes again with another amazing resource! Can’t wait to start a lesson based on the Berheim Forest trolls!
Just watched a tutorial on Musicplay Online with @KedcARTS and holy moly!!- the resources are incredible. What a wonderful website for beginner to seasoned teachers 👏🏻
Well @KedcARTS@KEDCGrants you have outdone yourselves. The arts team at MCHS in Madison County have learned so much and we are ready to use all we learned, received and were inspired to create next school year. Thank you for the opportunity!
I loved the art therapy sessions this week with @KedcARTS@KEDCGrants
Our goal was to draw ourselves as the spirit animal we feel we are right now and then who we want to become. Great deep thinking that I can’t wait to do with students.
Day 5 of Elevation Summit recap:
Graphic design was fascinating, making 3Doodles was so much fun and I’m now obsessed, plus more tech tips! After this week, I am so inspired to get my classes ready for next school year. Hats off to all of the presenters! @KedcARTS@KEDCGrants
KEDC Elevation Summit Day 4 recap:
Learned new iPhone photo tips to bring back to the classroom, dslr tips and sooo many new programs that can help with the “hard to format” clerical work. Plus some free paint? 100/10! One more day! @KedcARTS@KEDCGrants
