OPENAI AND ANTHROPIC DIDN’T JUST BUILD SMARTER MODELS.

THEY QUIETLY STARTED REPLACING THE TAB.

For two years, AI lived in a browser.

> Open tab.
> Write prompt.
> Wait for answer.
> Copy result.
> Repeat.
> That loop is dying.
> A founder in Berlin showed what replaced it.
> He starts his day without opening ChatGPT or Claude once.
> At 7:00 AM, three agents are already running.

One monitors sales calls and flags objections that cost deals.

One watches ad spend and catches campaigns bleeding money before lunch.

One scans Slack, docs, and product analytics, then prepares the engineering team’s priority list.

No prompts.

No chat window.

No “what should I ask AI?”

The agents work from events.

Something changes → they react.

That is the shift almost everyone misses.

The future of AI is not better answers.

It is fewer moments where humans need to ask.

Prompting was phase one.

Ambient execution is phase two.

That is why this feels bigger than another model launch.

The winning companies will not be the ones with employees using AI.

They will be the ones where AI already works before the employee logs in.

Read that again.

Not AI assistants.

AI coworkers.

The browser tab was never the destination.

It was training wheels.

And I think 2026 will be remembered as the year AI stopped waiting for permission.
