केरल के पूर्व मुख्य सचिव जीजी थॉमसन ने बताया कि ज्ञानेश कुमार ने उन्हें 2016 में BJP का टिकट लेकर चुनाव लड़ने को कहा था.

जीजी थॉमसन और ज्ञानेश हवाई जहाज में दिल्ली जा रहे थे.

• ज्ञानेश कुमार ने थॉमसन से पूछा - रिटायरमेंट के बाद क्या प्लान है?
• थॉमसन ने कहा - कोई खास प्लान नहीं है.
• इसपर ज्ञानेश ने कहा - 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव में केरल की पतनमतिट्टा सीट से BJP से चुनाव लड़ो. सांसद बनो और फिर मंत्री भी बन जाओगे.

थॉमसन ने बताया कि ज्ञानेश काफी जोर देकर मनाने की कोशिश कर रहे थे, लेकिन उन्होंने तुरंत मना कर दिया.

इसके बाद भी ज्ञानेश उन्हें राजनीति में आने के लिए समझाते रहे.

थॉमसन के मुताबिक, ज्ञानेश कुमार PM मोदी की केरल में बढ़ती लोकप्रियता का बखान कर रहे थे.

सोचिए - जो आदमी BJP के टिकट की सेटिंग कर रहा हो, मोदी का भक्त हो, वो आदमी निष्पक्ष चुनाव करा पाएगा?

हरियाणा चुनाव के बाद हाइकोर्ट ने एक याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए आदेश दिया कि याचिकाकर्ता को CCTV फुटेज और डिजिटल सबूत महैया कराया जाए।

The video went viral, a poor Muslim waiter was arrested, and the incident quickly acquired a political and communal dimension. Olypub later called it an “unintentional error”.

Now comes an interesting entry in the #BJP’s election expenditure declaration to the ECI.

The document records a payment of Rs 2.5 lakh to a person named Sayak Chakraborty under “Advertisement and Propaganda” in March 2026**

The Olypub video was in January.
The BJP payment was in March.

Is it the same Sayak Chakraborty?

If it is, what was the Rs 2.5 lakh payment for?

Was it for advertising? Content creation? Campaign work? Something completely unrelated?

The expenditure declaration may not provide the answer but the coincidence of the name, the timing and the category certainly warrants a closer look.
