We are receiving numerous questions from residents regarding assistance following the Winter Weather Storm in January. Right now, Mississippi has only been approved for Public Assistance. Our request for Individual assistance is still being reviewed.

If you are in urgent need a food or water and your home does not have water or power. We will get you MREs and water to take care of your need if you need these email [email protected] and we will get water or MREs to you.

There are so many groups doing this for free, simply because they care about helping others.
These assessments help document storm impacts and support requests for resources and assistance. Crews may be in neighborhoods, along roadways, and near public infrastructure taking notes and photos of damage.
We know many Mississippians are waiting for relief after the January 23–27 winter weather event.
WE ARE HERE: The Governor has now sent the official request to FEMA and the President for federal disaster assistance. This is a critical step in the process.
If approved, applications for assistance will open. We’ll keep you informed every step of the way.
UPDATE - Wednesday, 2/4 - 12:15 p.m. - We are making progress. We currently have 7400 members without power. We have information about specific areas in the service territory during our evening update. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
We are asking all residents who experienced damage during the recent winter weather to please report it using our Self-Report Damage Tool.
At this time, Individual Assistance from FEMA is not available. However, the number of damage reports we receive is critical—more reports help strengthen our case for FEMA Individual Assistance.
