I want to thank @NetflixSA and @stainedglasstv_ for taking my story from print to film. This is such a surreal moment for me!!
#ThePolygamist is my debut novel, the book that got rejected by many publishers. So I took a bet on myself and self published. The bet paid off!!
#dandarostreets A new investment platform calling itself Trira Mining is quietly gaining traction in Zimbabwe, with investigators warning it shows strong signs of being a Ponzi-style operation similar to the collapsed E-Creator scheme.
The platform claims to offer guaranteed daily profits through low-cost “ASIC mining machines,” while also promoting multi-level commissions and VIP reward tiers for members.
Investigations have uncovered multiple red flags, including group administrators using stolen profile photos traced to Pinterest and deleted Facebook accounts, along with disposable +1 American numbers purchased online.
Despite presenting themselves as foreign investors, the admins reportedly communicate fluently in Shona. Promotions are largely run through WhatsApp groups, using incentives such as “birthday rewards,” recruitment-based withdrawal conditions, and other tactics commonly associated with Ponzi scams.
Sources familiar with the groups suggest some administrators may be operating from Harare, with several University of Zimbabwe students reportedly active within the networks. While those claims remain unconfirmed, analysts warn the structure of the operation indicates it relies heavily on new member deposits rather than legitimate mining activity, raising concerns that more Zimbabweans could lose money if the scheme continues to spread.
