Going through a phase right now where I’ve finally made peace with letting things go. Feelings, people, old fears, all of it. It’s time for new beginnings, new chapters that actually bring happiness and love instead of just familiarity. It’s time to move on with my life instead of dragging the old version of it along with me.
tolerating always turns into resentment. at first, you call it patience, then love.
but what it really is, is self abandonment. every time you swallow a boundary, excuse a pattern or silence your discomfort, something inside you keeps score.
eventually, the bill comes due.
Learn to be alone. Eat alone. Sleep alone. Vibe alone. Heal alone. Become so rooted in yourself that you don't need opinions, validation, or approval to feel okay. Because when you're comfortable in your own company, you stop settling for people who disturb your peace.
The reason why no one cared to ask your side of the story is because the side they heard, fits how they want to feel about you. People like this do not care, love, or respect you. They are not family or friends.
I'm the girl who handles all her hard days in silence. I don't complain much, I don't always ask for help, & I rarely vent. I carry my own weight & I'II always move through life with an "I'll figure it out" mindset. Because I will🙌🏾.
I’m the type that disappear for a little while when life get heavy. I don’t call everybody. I don’t post about it. I don’t ask for help much. I just pray, cry if I need to, wipe my face, and figure it out. That’s how I’ve always been. Every battle ain’t meant for an audience. Some of us been carrying ourselves for so long that “I’ll figure it out” became second nature.
I’m so cool on sht now & I LOVE that for me.‼️ I don’t be pressed about nothing or nobody no more. What used to bother me don’t even phase me now. I don’t do the most. I don’t overthink. I don’t stress. I just sit back and watch life play out. I learned life is calmer when you fall back, stay in your own lane, and just focus on protecting your peace. And honestly? Life feel a whole lot better this way. 💯
I’m so grateful God removed certain people from my life before I made it to the next level because I was going to keep drowning myself. So they could reach my level.
