According to the CDC, there are currently 8191 people hospitalized with COVID-19.

This week, there was an *average* of 1375 people ^new admissions^ for COVID every day. That’s 9625 total for the week.

For context, there were 911 people were admitted for the flu *this week*.

Had a great time presenting our Simulation Research project this weekend with @byron_kunst in Huntsville, AL at the Annual Session for the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. Was great to connect with fellow ACOM students and many other great individuals throughout AL!
