Year long thread of books read in 2023 #GoodReadsChallenge lowered my target from 45 in 2022 (which I met) to 25 this year because I want to take more time over reading even though I read fast because I enjoy it.

Short google later pleased to see that fab community hospital is still open 😊 20miles from where I was living was not a high point of my first placement but I learned so much about good compassionate care.

Heading home after seeing my Dad the train that pulled in while I was waiting for mine was headed to Didcot where I did my first ever placement as a student nurse 26yrs ago.

My neighbour is playing the guitar and singing to his 2 year old twins (&2 greyhounds). It about the most cute start to a Saturday I’ve ever heard.

Facebook memories reminded me I used to be purposeful in the holidays. Though my kids are all teens and 20s they’re at home and will be having time off so I’ve gone for the new Mario game, which is only allowed to be played with 2 or more of them, and a book each.
