@johanvos I like to make comparisons with Betamax vs VHS. One had great success as a pioneer, but got suffocated by its creator. The other was kind of clunky, but at least it was an open standard that eventually surpassed the original tech. JavaScript is kind of getting there...

Instead of complaining about why no one, including Oracle, regardless of who or what it is, isn't doing what you want them to do, I would personally prefer you criticize software like Visual Studio Code.
