Any real artist knows this is fake:
• The color picker never changes
• The mouse cursor never changes
• You don't see one single stroke
The real test, however, is to demonstrate your skill with pencil and paper. If you can't, you're a fake artist. Stolen valor. Fake, gay, and probably Indian.
SpaceX is still providing launch services for others. It's starlink launches via Falcon being stopped. They are moving on to putting up the V3 sats, which only starship can deliver. The V2 constellation is done. Orbital delivery capabilities for V3 will be in the next launch or two of Starship. No launch shortage to be found here. It's only implicit if you misunderstand/misrepresent what's going on with Falcon.
You know, it's funny.... I posted this, and then just the other day I was like, "Nope, Grimoire is still too close to D&D structurally... Still to close to being a kitchen-sink fantasy!"
So I knocked over like 75% of it and am doing some major reworks.
No abilities abstract out intelligence or wisdom. All are physical, with the exception of Presence (Charisma), because not having it would give theater kids a mechanical advantage, and I don't want to do that. The abilities (traits in Grimoire) are now: Might, Agility, Endurance, Presence, and Comeliness
Still no character classes. Only playable race is human.
The biggest change is to how magic functions. Originally it was VERY close to D&D 3.5, though tied to a classless system otherwise. Now using it will depend on your character's Endurance (aka CON), and the more you push it, the greater chance it will turn you into an elemental abomination.
Divine magic has basically been collapsed into herbalism and alchemy. No divine favor, domains, or any of that other bullshit.
There are a lot more changes too, but these are the biggest ones.
Grimoire is very close to being done enough mechanically to release. At this point it's basically the fluff and art that need doing, and I'm hoping I can find some artists locally.
I'm really looking forward to throwing this thing into the wild for people to enjoy, and give feedback on.
In Grimoire, the entirety of orc culture is built on raping and pillaging, and keeping entire castes of slaves for the explicit purpose of breeding shock-troops with which to push ever deeper into civilized territories. Orcs are organized into tribes that live deep in a bone-white desert of sand that is akin to lunar regolith.
-ALL- half-orcs are the product of rape, and are blemishes on the identities of various non-orc cultures that have them.
Reddit's again spinning D&D Orcs as an oppressed people; forced into violence & tribalism that parallels real world black struggles.
They recommend a redemption arc in your campaign for these savages.
We recommend an alternative.
There's no middle ground.
MAKE ORCS EVIL AGAIN.
Hadn't thought about the intelligence angle here, but it makes sense. I suppose the same applies to Wisdom too, if you think about it... The 'subjective' mental, I suppose you could call them.
Honestly now I'm considering a secondary project now where all stats are physical in nature, and the players have zero mechanics to lean on to play characters smarter than themselves.
It bugs the shit out of me when I see Charisma attributed to physical apperance. As much as I like 3.5e, for example, I hate that it explicitly links charisma to physical attractiveness, effectively making rolling Fabio as a character harder than it should be.
Like Exemplar, Grimoire will be different in this respect.
The common issue of conflating charisma with appearance is one of the reasons it specifically isn't an attribute in Exemplar.
Instead Heart, which represents a sense of self, and therefore self-confidence, governs most social skills, as well as emotional regulation and defense against spells an effects that target a creatures emotional state.
I have long thought that character race selection should be restricted to the traditional core races because it strips away so much of the mystique of the setting if your characters can be half dragons, plants, demons, bird men, or whatever else. Plus it strains the playable of the setting (why aren't people constantly freaking out?).

You know how it goes.
Company that has been overtaken by gay retards "revive" a beloved old-school thing and make it gay and retarded.
At least 1/2 of the original fanbase:
I harp on old school systems and play styles a lot for things I hate about them.
But today, I want to give them some praise for the one thing. I think they do well, that newer systems need to learn from. Challenge: in older systems, everything felt like it could be a threat. Now it feels like the dungeon master has to go out of their way to make something a threat.
I plan to write articles going in depth about these topics, especially this one but I want to praise old school systems and the modern OSR for the one thing, I think it does exceptionally well. Making every encounter feel like character Death is always possible
Meanwhile Grimoire will not only have slavery in the flagship setting, but Orcs will have an entire caste of slaves meant specifically to breed suicide shock troops.
WotC is cooked.
