In 1996 @BYUfootball we lost our 3rd game of the season to unranked Washington in Husky Stadium. Huge letdown after beating #13 Texas A&M in Cougar Stadium in the Kick-Off Classic.

LaVell settled us down. Told us to take the L like men and focus on the task still at hand. “Win the league. Win the rest of our games.”

Won the next 11 straight. Won the Holy War. Won the WAC Championship. Won the Cotton Bowl. Became the first NCAA Division I-A team to win 14 games in a single season. Ended up #5 in the country. Probably the best team in BYU history.
