A vítima recebeu suporte imediato no Espaço Acolher, local destinado ao atendimento humanizado de mulheres vítimas de violência no sistema ferroviário. SEGURANÇA E PREVENÇÃO: A companhia reforçou que utiliza câmeras de monitoramento para identificar agressores e realiza campanhas constantes de conscientização. Atualmente, o Espaço Acolher está presente em 26 estações da rede.

A FILIPINA WORKER WAS KILLED IN AN AIR STRIKE IN ISRAEL

A Filipina worker was killed in an air strike in Israel, President Marcos said on Sunday, as the world braces for the effects, including a possible prolonged conflict of the air strikes launched by American and Israeli forces against Iran that started last Saturday.

Marcos identified the fatality as Mary Anne Velazquez de Vera, a caregiver from Basista, Pangasinan, who died after being hit by a shrapnel from a bomb.

"I regret to inform you that we have received a report that a Filipino casualty has been recorded in the conflict happening in the Middle East," the President said in a video statement.

The 32-year old Filipina was helping her ward proceed to a bomb shelter when the air strike happened. She was identified by her husband, an overseas Filipino worker employed in Israel.

"The government will provide all forms of assistance needed by her family. We continue to monitor the condition of our countrymen who are in the middle of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East," the President said.
