This week's #MemberMonday@ElectraAero completed a series of hybrid-electric demonstration flights designed to show how advanced aircraft could connect small community airports with major airline hubs.
Conducted with the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Departments of Transportation, the flights began at Manassas Regional Airport in Virginia and continued through Millville Executive Airport, Atlantic City’s former Bader Field, and Northeast Philadelphia Airport before reaching Philadelphia International Airport. The route demonstrated how smaller aviation facilities could become part of a broader regional transportation network, potentially giving travelers more direct access to major metropolitan areas and airline service.

✈️ The next era of aviation is taking off… in Springfield, Ohio!
Electra has selected Springfield in Clark County for its first-ever production facility for the EL9 Ultra Short, the hybrid-electric aircraft that can take off and land in 150 feet.
This is our biggest step yet toward making Direct Aviation a reality:
✅ An $850 million investment
✅ Nearly 2,000 new jobs
✅ Production of up to 800 aircraft per year
Ohio is the Birthplace of Aviation and Springfield is the place that will open the next chapter: one where flight is direct, accessible, and closer to the communities it serves.

Direct Aviation has arrived in Atlantic City, NJ!
Electra’s EL2 technology demonstrator took flight from Bader Field, showing how Ultra Short aircraft could use general aviation airports, parking lots, and other convenient locations as access points for Direct Aviation – bringing air travel closer to where people live and want to go.
For Atlantic City, that could mean direct flights to destinations like New York City and Washington, D.C., avoiding congested roads and saving travelers an hour or more compared to driving, making the region more accessible for tourism and business.
Bader Field was the first municipal airport in the United States, and in 1927, Charles Lindbergh landed there with the Spirit of St. Louis after his historic transatlantic flight. Nearly a century later, Bader Field is once again helping us demonstrate what’s possible in aviation.
