Toby Szewczyk ('09) was one of the best players I watched this Fall in the U-18 division. I was very impressed by how consistent and reliable he was for Red Bulls U-18's. The tools have always been there, but it's been a "B" performance level until this Fall where I saw an "A" performance level.
This will not show on any highlight reel: I'm not going to waste your time with a bunch of short range and intermediary passes, but his press resistance, two-footedness, and ability to distribute over those distances with both feet is a total game changer for a team in trying to play out from the back.
Think we will be seeing him regularly for Red Bulls 2 in 2026.
Archer Jaeckli ('10) was so good for CFC U-16's during the Fall. Big save after big save after big save.
For a 6'4 GK, he has impressive athleticism. Feet break down some under pressure, but he tries to really distribute, which is half the battle. There's some Owen Pratt there.

🎙️ Gianluigi Buffon: "I thank people who consider me the best goalkeeper of all time, but that's not the case. They think that because I lasted a long time. But for me, the best goalkeeper of all times comes from Spain - Iker Casillas played for the biggest club in Europe and he won everything, both at club and with his national side.
His track record shows that he is above the rest, and he is a true leader.
I haven't won everything in football, and I think I should be considered number 3 or 4 because number 2 is Manuel Neuer. He has also won everything at club level, as well as a World Cup.
That's why I think I'm number 3, but that's just my opinion."
Buffon always oozes class. ❤️
