Is it so much to ask that everyone involved in the production get a cut? Is it so unreasonable for the workers to share in the profits of their labour?
i like how their first instinct is "it’s fake food" and not "it’s poor quality produce that wasn’t conserved properly in the supply chain" so now instead of advocating for better food regulations they just spat out conspiracy theories online
It’s funny how “Obsession” sparked conversations around women being taken advantage of, and now a woman who worked on the movie is being told to shut up for feeling exploited by the studio system profiting off of work she did (because it’s industry standard to exploit).
@samschlong_ I dont know why down-syndrome is always the disability in question when it comes to this issue because its literally such a manageable condition. I guess because we can test for it?? I rarely use this word but people are quite frankly just massively ignorant about downs 😭
Took a philosophy class that covered assisted dying. One guy wanted to die because he couldn't afford his disability equipment so his life was shit and he had no independence. Apparently "why don't they just give him the equipment instead of killing him" was the wrong answer?????
People telling the art director from Obsession “too bad, that’s what you signed up for” instead of collectively encouraging that once small budget films reach a certain number all cast and crew receive a bonus, is why we’ll never be free.
AMC saying the quiet part out loud is so funny bc when we speak up about a PATTERN of how Black characters are sidelined when a show or the network decides they’re ready to cater to white audiences yall just claim we hate (insert white character/actor). We’re always right
