@real_glossop @Serenity3_18 @uniformlady1@Porter_Anderson@gtconway3d@shanlonwu@Acosta@tribelaw@judgeluttig If you read the 14th amendment, it doesn't need a 2/3 vote for it to go into effect. It needs a 2/3 vote to NOT go into effect. Congress could have written the impeachment differently and he would have been barred from ever running again, but hindsight is 20/20.
@Mjaysmama@lukacsy@tribelaw That are an amendment to a law Congress has already passed, and which regulates the behavior of SCOTUS. The Constitution is clear that Congress has the right to do this, and arguably, the "Good Behavior" stipulation for justices requires justices to abide by these rules.
@imyourmoderator@Aspentreecree@Victorshi2020 “We” are the democrats. WE are sick to death of no solutions only complaints. WE are tired of no platform only mean tweets. WE don’t want the constant hate spewed by republicans. WE know this is why you keep losing.
@Barrabarra5 @wut76543 @apart_blown@Victorshi2020 I was just wondering how you knew the legacy person specifically took your son's spot. Did the college's admission department specifically say that?
@DrButtToot @Victorshi2020 You should read the actual bill rather than listening to someone else's take on it. It says nothing about pronouns, but does make hate crimes illegal. Using someone's pronouns incorrectly doesn't amount to a hate crime unless you're physically harming them while doing so.
I keep reading that film studios are contemplating
replacing writers and actors by using Artificial Intelligence to mimic their talents
Surely it would be easier and more efficient to replace executives, since they have no talent at all
In a carefully worded, but blunt statement, conservative former federal judge J. Michael Luttig called on SCOTUS to enact a code of conduct that would “subject itself to the highest ethical standards that would render the Court beyond reproach.”

@JJswhite2 @drizzt770 @lorfamus@sheilaisfisty@MichaelCohen212 A president can say he wants something declassified, but then a process starts, and paperwork needs to happen. There's also verification to make sure information actually *can* be declassified w/o serious injury to the US or other countries. A former prez can't do it at all.
Begging the media to finally stop treating Donald Trump like he's just another normal presidential candidate. From now on, he should be referred to as follows: "The twice-impeached, twice-indicted, & found liable for sexual assault former President of the United States." Period.
Amazing news: the Supreme Court has just AFFIRMED the Voting Rights Act & tossed out a Republican-drawn Congressional map in Alabama that would’ve diluted the Black vote. Huge blow to Republicans & great news for anyone who cares about voting rights & democracy.
