Goth people keep accusing us of “larping” or “cosplaying” being goth. Speaking just for myself — I genuinely love the goth aesthetic. I love dressing dark and alternative, and I also love dressing soft and girly sometimes. I’m not a “true goth” in the sense that I don’t make the entire lifestyle and aesthetic my whole identity, in actually someone who always switches my aesthetic, but I’m always doing it out of what I truly love. And I do love wearing goth-inspired looks, which is why I hashtag them on some of my posts. Some of the outfits I put together are clearly goth-inspired, and that’s enough reason for me.
I’ve been dressing this way for years. I don’t understand why I can’t wear what I love without it becoming an issue. 🖤

@oxDessyxo I grew up being alt and believing it was to accept others and to be less judgemental. Also, even if it is to dress up and have fun, why do ppl care. We used to get bullied for being alt, now it's an issue that it's accepted. Whateva. Fuck em, I say!
