This is more complex than people are realizing. Infold CANNOT defend themselves at this point.

The Chinese state media made an article about them. This is not like CNN or CBS making a statement. This is essentially the mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party. If you're looking at this through the eyes of someone in an uncensored country, you're looking at this wrong.

Contradicting state media is essentially defying the government. Doing so could be a death sentence to their company.

​If Infold released a statement arguing that the state media misunderstood the trope and that the Valko isn't actually dangerous, it could be interpreted as a refusal to accept regulatory guidance and an unacceptable implication that the state is wrong.

The only thing they could do in that moment was try to stop the initial backlash and find a solution. We need to give them the time to comply with the government orders and find a way to prove themselves innocent without committing social suicide.

I understand everyones feeling, as I've been furious too. I didn't initially realize how bad the situation was and solely blamed them for ignoring us as well.

We all know Infold. They create wonderful characters, but they're money hungry. They would not give up a character and keep him gone knowing how much money he'd make. They were extremely adamant that he was staying until the day things got out of control in the media. That post by state news was essentially a government warning for them.

Infold hasn't even updated their pinned posts, it's on the movie banner still (two banners behind). I'm sure they'd much prefer to advertise Wander in Wonder and try recoup their money.

So many of us did not realize how deep this goes. But we need to acknowledge it now.

We deserve to be mad about many things, as Infold has things they should have fixed years ago.

But this current situation is out of their control, it's a smear campaign that went way too far because of a couple toxic antis who weaponized false information.

(I'm not quoting this to attack you, I've just simply seen this comment a lot and wanted to elaborate 💖）

Valko is the 6th Love Interest in Love and DeepSpace. He’s Werewolf-like who many fans have been waiting and anticipating since before June 22. Unfortunately, a group of players were not too convinced about his facial features, physical appearance, and his intentions with our Main Protagonist.

Due to some backlash and false accusations, Infold made the rush decision to cancel his Launch Day on June 30th - which he was scheduled to be released on the 9th of July.

But with just his brief appearance, he won the hearts of many people and united the world to express their disappointment. Though with broken hearts, the community came together to not let Valko’s name be so quickly forgotten. To show appreciation, donations for wild life animals and flood disaster received generous support from the fandom.

Valko not only received a star under his name, but also helped saved many lives.
I’d like to thank everyone who helped coming together for the great cause and for Infold to create such a loving and wonderful character. We wish we could have more time with him and to continue exploring his story in the future.

I’m not taking side of ppg (they have their own fault) but just the situation now PPG taking is that CCP inspecting + comp. smear campaign + toxic fan, so actually it does make a little sense that they need to buy time for taking care of things internally by not making ⬇️
