i hope this goes w/o saying but to add a disclaimer: i would never break HIPAA for any reason. aside from being illegal, it’s also horribly cruel & insensitive, & it’s a massive breach of trust/privacy. fuck the person who did that here on edtwt a while back. disgusting behavior.

i work for a clinic that sees a lot of ED patients, adolescent-aged mostly but also some patients as old as mid-20s. i always wonder if the patients i interact with are on edtwt :/

i can’t help but wonder if these patients are as entrenched in ed-centered online spaces as i am. i hope to god they’re not, i hope they can recover, i hope they can go on to be healthy and well…i hate that this disorder consumes SO MUCH of my mind in so many ways.
