This weekend has seen 6 @c4x4response volunteers undertake and successfully pass their C&G/NPTC Level 2 in Sit Aside ATV Operators Course, a nationally accredited & accepted qualification for operating ATV's..

Well done and thanks to Steve S & UCMyerscough for hosting us..

Our responders had a great day marshalling the Pendle Vintage Tractor Rally today. Some amazing machines to be seen, money raised for charity and a grand time was had by all!

Which inevitably ended in a further vehicle becoming stranded. Once Highways were in attendance they closed the road & thanked our team member for his help. The road remains closed until the nearby culvert is cleared.

Whilst a team member was out and about this morning he happened upon a flooded road with a car stranded in the middle of it with the occupant still inside. After seeing if the motorist was OK but didn’t want recovering, he contacted the local council to report the flood & vehicle

The council asked the team member to stay on site until the Highways team could attend. He made other motorists aware of the danger & the stranded vehicle that was out of view. Most vehicles turned round but one or two decided to risk it …
